The Metropolitan Youth Orchestra invites you on a journey through Europe’s rich cultural landscape, guided by the language of music. All you need is an open heart and a listening ear to discover the stories, emotions, and spirit of different times and places, all conveyed through melody.
This concert is more than a performance—it is an “audible” introduction to European culture. Follow our young musicians as they lead you from the classical elegance of Vienna in Mozart’s Symphony No. 36, “Linz” and Schubert’s Rosamunde Overture, through the expansive landscapes and heartfelt depth of Eastern Europe in Dvořák’s Symphony No. 8 and Tchaikovsky’s Polonaise from Eugene Onegin, and finally into the dazzling colors of Saint-Saëns’ Danse Macabre and Bacchanale from Samson and Delilah, before surrendering to the romantic fervor of Berlioz’s Symphonie fantastique. In one journey, travel across three centuries of Europe’s artistic poetry.
Let the music be your ticket — transporting you across a continent, through a whole world of sound.
